Through Workforce Development, Dian received job training that helped her earn a fair, living wage to support her children. Help us keep those classes in session in 2017.

Dian Walters, mother of two and Brooklyn native, completed our Commercial Driver License Skills Training course on Nov. 18. She was hired by the Y&M Transportation Corporation just three days later! Ms. Walters now works 40 hours a week as a school bus driver and earns an hourly rate of $17.50. We wish her all the best in her new career!

This fall dozens of Workforce Development students graduated with certifications in growing, fair-paying industries. The Skills Training courses we offer are crucial in North Brooklyn, where almost 30,000 residents in our area live in poverty.

We celebrate each recent graduate's perseverance and hard work, and we're thrilled that their new professional qualifications empower them to have a thriving career.

You can be an important element of these success stories.

Every donation, no matter how big, sparks community change. Your support maintains our crucial work in offering these much-needed courses.

Please join us as we make a final financial push at the end of 2016 to raise $5,000 toward our operating funds. You'll be giving people like Dian an opportunity to achieve a higher quality of life.

Together, we'll create a North Brooklyn where everyone can thrive.
