Building a sustainable community for all through the arts, environmental advocacy, and urban planning.

St. Nicks Alliance works with residents, local stakeholders and other nonprofit and for-profit organizations to improve the quality of life for low- and moderate-income residents of North Brooklyn. We support the building of affordable housing, the development of community gardens and other environmentally sensitive, sustainable community improvement projects, and SMART Community planning.

As a Civic Anchor, we achieve this together with our strategic partners Evergreen Exchange, Grand Street BID, Greenpoint Renaissance Enterprise Corp. (GREC), United Neighbors Organization (UNO) and others.

In 2015, we assisted in mobilizing public housing residents to actively engage with the Participatory Budgeting process to secure over $400,000 in city capital for NYCHA community facilities.

With the help of our community preservation division, hundreds of tenants have improved their quality of life as a result of improvements to their homes.
